Loft conversion: Addison Road, Seven Dials, Brighton
A calm master suite above a busy family home
Having recently moved from London with young twins, the owners of this Seven Dials home wanted to create more bedroom space — but also somewhere that felt like a genuine retreat from busy family life.
The loft was wider than most, giving us plenty of floor space to work with, although head height was tight in places. The brief was to make the most of that space while reflecting the owners’ distinctive, design-led style.
The finished loft became a generous master suite, with a spacious bedroom, en suite bathroom and a concealed walk-in wardrobe hidden behind a false wall. Bespoke details and carefully chosen fittings give the space its own character, while large windows and rooflights bring in plenty of natural light.
The result is a private, peaceful space that feels completely separate from the rest of the house — while adding valuable extra accommodation for a growing family.
